Self Worth

True self-worth has nothing to do with achievements, appreciation, or validation from anyone else but is found in knowing that your value is intrinsic and powerful. Humans look around for validation, hoping to fill the void when, in reality, all we need is love and respect from within.

Self-worth is embracing your flaws and imperfections, knowing that all of your qualities, even those you consider imperfect make you who you are. It’s giving yourself the same kindness, compassion, and grace that you offer so freely to others.

Social media has only heightened this struggle. We compare our inner worlds—including our struggles, doubts, and insecurities—to the outsides of others that we are presented through curated highlight reels.

When we depend on the outside world for our sense of worth, our inner world becomes chaotic. The opinions of others become the measuring stick for our value, yet those opinions are ever-changing and often unkind.
